Note: Some competitions have been broken up into separate smaller competitions to suit the number of entries/categories. There are over 200 gymnasts entered.

Spectator fees are paid on the day of the event, on entry into the gym.

Parents and Gymnasts will not be allowed in the building until registration time due to capacity, so please arrive on time and not too early.

 

 

 

REMINDER: Spectators use cash only for competition seats.

 

Arena

Facilities on-site:

Spectator area and disabled access:

Seating will be located around the floor/performance area. This will be on ground level, so no steps/lifts are required.

Disabled seating can be available on request. Contact Hannah for further details/to arrange specific seating requirements. There is disability access, with the use of ramps where required also.

Spectator tickets can be purchased from Erewash Valley Gymnastics Club on the day of the event. If you have a large group, please contact the Competition Organiser to discuss options.

Food and drink

The café will be open selling cookies, cakes, chocolates, crisps, hot and cold drinks.

Toilet and changing facilities

Toilets and changing facilities are available on-site, including baby changing facilities.

On-site entertainment

Within the waiting area there is a toy/soft play area for those little ones requiring a break out time.

Car parking

On-site car parking is available – Free of charge.

On-road parking is also available.

First aid and welfare

A trained Welfare Officer will be present throughout the competition – This person will be highlighted during the coaches and judges’ briefings.

Physiotherapist

Medical provision will be available throughout the event if anyone has any problems.

Competition Arena Etiquette

Please ensure that gymnasts and coaches are using the seating area provided when on the competition floor. Please ensure you listen to the compare and march to the next apparatus when instructed.

Volunteers

Erewash Valley Gym Club will act to protect any volunteer working at this event. Any foul and abusive language or behaviour in or around the arena will not be tolerated and will lead to your removal from the premises.

Photography:

During the competition, spectators are not to use flash photography. Spectators will get a warning if the rules are ignored, and could asked to leave the arena for continuous use of a flash. By participating in this competition you are agreeing to be filmed and photographed. Photos and videos could be used for promotion and social media.

Spectators:

Spectators MUST NOT go onto the floor area, or approach judges or coaches during the competition. If this rule is broken, Flying Angels Gymnastics Club reserves the right to ban the offending spectator from future competitions. The gymnast will not be affected by this.

It is important that the access to the ‘Officials area’ (judges, scoring, music etc.) is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Emergencies

As part of event, everyone attending must adhere to the emergency procedures and follow the professional guidance of the competition organiser and members of staff from the venue. Below is a brief guide of the venue emergency procedures.

In the event of the emergency alarms sounding please evacuate via one of the following routes:• These will be highlighted on the day during a safety briefing

The meeting point is within the car park (side of building)

Coaches are to ensure all their gymnasts are kept together until registered and then handed back to their responsible adult.

By entering this competition your club is agreeing to the rules, regulations, and standards.

Failure to comply may see your club being excluded from the competition without refund.

Gymnasts:

Clubs and coaches are responsible for the gymnasts during the competition. It is down to the coaches to ensure the gymnasts are dismissed safely. Parents ARE NOT permitted to go on to the floor area

Competition attire:

Registration

Registration will take place before each competition and will be based at the gymnastics reception, this will be clearly signposted.

Please ensure that your gymnasts arrive 30 minutes before the stated registration time, except for the first round.
