Hello members,

we would like to remind parents and guardians of gymnasts at Flying Angels that if your child/children are going to miss any sessions, please either email, text, or call our admin.

 

Please contact us at the latest of 4:00 pm on the weekday sessions, and 9:00 pm the day before any Saturday sessions.

It is not fair on coaches waiting for gymnasts to arrive, with no notice given.

It is only a few days until our 13th Annual Christmas Display will be happening. We are so excited to show all of our members parents and guests what we have been practising for the past few months.

We have been given an update for gym closures, and the club is no longer closed on the 15th October and the 18th October 2019. Please check below where there are updates for school closures. All closures are out of our hands and could be subject to change. Emails and or texts will go out to members to confirm the makeup session.

Hello members, 

Our monthly bake sale is this week, and we are now going to be having our first annual Fundraising Halloween week held once a year during the week of the 28th October to the 2nd of November 2019. The gymnasts will have a fun week by dressing up in their favourite costume, and all donations of £3.00 per gymnast will help the club to raise money for brand freestanding mini apparatus, this is a week-long event. , and also from the monthly bake sales, plus the fundraising bottle at the front desk.

All members will be given makeup sessions on a date where coaches are available to take gymnasts to replace the cancelled regular session. Annual British Gymnastics is due every year. British Gymnastics now have a new system where you as a member now have to join up via GymNET on the British Gymnastics website.

GymNET has a guide that helps you with the new registration process.

If you do not join, your child will not be able to participate in any sessions until registration is complete, please click here for registration or renewal

Once a month we have a week full of tasty treats. Our members and staff kindly bake or sometimes buy baked goods. We have everything from cupcakes, and cookies, to scones, and biscuits, all baked goods are welcome (Please note that No nuts are allowed) All monies raised this year is going towards mini apparatus which cost a staggering £3000. All help and donations are always appreciated. The next bakesale week is 7th - 12th October 2019.

Sorry to all the Thursday members. We have been informed that there is no training session on Thursday 18th July 2019 Due to another school event. Gym sessions will resume as normal on Friday 19th July 2019.

Just giving is our crowdfunding page, Just Giving where you can donate, you can even be anonymous. Our New Fundraising goal is £3000 for a brand new mini apparatus set. As of the 6th May 2019, £230 had been raised so far, which is 7% of our goal, thank you to everyone who has donated so far. 

 

Update: On the 8th July 2019 £450 has been raised, which is 15% of our goal, as always, we can't thank the donators enough.

Summer competition season has come to a close. We would like to say well done to all the gymnasts who competed over the last two months, and congratulations to all the coaches who trained the gymnasts.

Apologies for the last-minute gym closure, we have been informed we cannot proceed with our usual gym session on Thursday 16th May 2019. This information has only just been given to us by School Letting Solutions.

This closure is completely out of our hands. Gym Sessions will resume as normal on Friday 17th May 2019.

 

Our sincerest apologies again for the inconvenience, emails have been sent out informing all Thursday participants of this too.

To avoid gymnasts missing out on competing, please submit forms, and payment on time. There will be no entrances allowed after the closing date.

We have some exciting news. During the Summer Break 2019, our sports hall that we use the majority of the time will be updated and refurbished.

The old climbing frames are coming down, creating more space.

​

A new floor will be laid, walls painted, and floor anchors installed for our bars. We will also have our wall bars finally installed along with our rings hung. The club is so happy that we finally get to use our equipment again, that has been in storage for the past two years.

 

We will keep you updated, keep checking back for the latest news.
