Competition Schedule & Tickets
Spectators:
Tickets for Spectators (BOOK ONLINE / ON THE DAY)
Tickets for Spectators will go on sale on 1st October 2018. Tickets will be on sale for each round priced at £6.00 for adults & £3.00 for children. Presentations for each competition will be done in the Sports Hall beside the gym. After each round of the competition venue will be cleared.
Tickets will be available for sale on the day; however we advise that spectators buy tickets in advance online.

Any gymnast who wishes to attend this event must register online to receive their free ticket. If any parents wish to purchase tickets for this event they must book tickets & pay online through our online booking system.
Coaches / Judges must also register online to receive their free ticket. Tickets will be online via the CNGA website: http://www.newcastlegymnastics.org/
Tickets for the spooky disco will be sent to your e-mail. Please check your spam it may arrive there.
Spectators please be aware you will only be allowed into the arena for the round your ticket has been purchased for.
Exceptions
Gymnasts & coaches taking part in any competition can watch any other competition free of charge. Seating will be provided at the back of the arena next to the mirrors for coaches & gymnasts.
Children under 16 may require proof of ID.
Paper wristbands will be issued on the door once you have shown your ticket. Results sheets will be available at the end of the competition at a cost of 50p.

Banquet
There will be a party on the Saturday Evening after the last round of competition; this will include a buffet, drinks & disco. Entry will be free for gymnasts, coaches, judges & delegations. Extra tickets will be priced at £8.00 per person and can be purchased via the CNGA website closer to the event. http://newcastlegymnastics.org/
Party in Sports Hall 7.30pm-11pm
REMINDER: Spectators use cash only for competition seats.
Numbers

Numbers:
Coaches will need to show the gymnast’s number to the judge before each performance. Please remember that gymnasts can create their own numbers. The best and most artistic numbers in each round will be awarded a prize. If the gymnast decides not to create their own number, their coach will be able to use the number flip charts at each apparatus.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to gymnasts with the best number in each round. There will also be other prizes awarded for gymnasts in each round chosen by the judges (e.g. artistry / attitude)

No Food or hot drinks can be taken into the arena. There will be catering on the day.

Physiotherapist
Medical provision will be available throughout the event if anyone has any problems.
Competition Arena Etiquette
Please ensure that gymnasts and coaches are using the seating area provided when on the competition floor. Please ensure you listen to the compare and march to the next apparatus when instructed.
Volunteers
City of Newcastle Gymnastics Academy will act to protect any volunteer working at this event. Any foul and abusive language or behaviour in or around the arena will not be tolerated and will lead to your removal from the premises.
Photography:
During the competition, spectators are not to use flash photography. Spectators will get a warning if the rules are ignored, and could asked to leave the arena for continuous use of a flash.
Spectators:
Spectators MUST NOT go onto the floor area, or approach judges or coaches during the competition. If this rule is broken, Flying Angels Gymnastics Club reserves the right to ban the offending spectator from future competitions. The gymnast will not be affected by this.

Spooky Spectacular gymnast t-shirts will be able to be collected by coaches at the control desk at the mirrors.

Gymnasts
Gymnasts:
Clubs and coaches are responsible for the gymnasts during the competition. It is down to the coaches to ensure the gymnasts are dismissed safely. Parents ARE NOT permitted to go on to the floor area

Presentations for each competition will take place in the Sports Hall. After each round, the competition venue will be cleared.

Special Awards
Gymnasts with the most creative number will receive a spooky gift in each round of the competition.
Judge’s awards will be given out throughout the day. These can be for anything from a gymnast with the best smile to a gymnast with fantastic execution.
Pre-Competition Training
Podium training will be available on Friday evening 7.00pm-8.30pm for FIG MAG & WAG gymnasts only.
Registration
Registration will take place before each competition and will be based at the gymnastics reception, this will be clearly signposted.
Please ensure that your gymnasts arrive 30 minutes before the stated registration time, except for the first round.

Directions
BY CAR
From the North:
Take the M74 & then A74(M) to A689 in Cumbria, Take exit 44 from M6 follow A689 & A69 to A167(M), Continue on A167(M) to A1058, take the A1058 exit from A167(M) Continue on A1058. Drive to Benfield Road. Take exit toward Walkergate hospital and turn right onto Benfield Road. The destination will be on the left hand side.
From the South:
Follow A1, Take exit onto A194(M), follow signs for South Shields, at the roundabout take the exit onto Leam Lane / A194, continue straight through the next roundabout, at the roundabout take exit onto A19 Morpeth/Tyne Tunnel. Go through Tyne Tunnel (Toll Road - £1.70). At the roundabout exit onto A1058 to Newcastle. Take exit toward Walker. Continue onto Benfield Road, City of Newcastle Gymnastics Academy will be on the left. (Use signs for Benfield Sports Centre.
Benfield Road runs from Shields Road (A193/0 to the Coast Road (A1058), you can't miss Benfield School and we're located just behind there. There's ample amount of free car parking space.

Please ensure you use the car parks stated on the map only. All other car parks are for other uses in the centre such as basketball, football, swimming etc. There will be car park attendants in place. Please follow their direction to wherever they direct you. Car parking is free. Please be aware there are no bus parking spaces if you are planning on coming via bus. In the event that all car park spaces are filled please use Walkergate hospital car park across the road.
By Train:
East Coast and Cross-country trains operate into Newcastle Central (main). Use the Metro service to monument then change lines to Walkergate heading towards The Coast.
Metro Station:
Walkergate metro station is situated within a 5 minute walk from the City of Newcastle Gymnastics Academy. All hotels stated on the letter are within walking distance from a metro station. There is a metro station at Newcastle Airport.
