Beam
The two groups will be on one beam, but with two sets of judges. For example:
4 min warm-up: Beam One group on the competition beam while Beam Two group uses the floor beam
4 min warm-up: Beam Two group on the competition beam while Beam One group uses the floor beam
Note - We ask that the gymnasts do not wait for the gymnast to fully finish before they mount the competition beam. While one gymnast is halfway along the beam the next gymnast can start to mount. We believe this will ensure all gymnasts get a fair warm-up within the time, and will also help ensure we run on time.
A gymnast from Beam One group performs to Judge 1
While Judge 1 is scoring the gymnast from Beam One group, a gymnast from Beam Two group will perform to Judge 2
While Judge 2 is scoring the gymnast from Beam Two group, the next gymnast from Beam One group will perform to Judge 1
etc...
Once the beam has been completed the beams will be removed and the same area will become their floor area. The AP group will not wait for the Level 1’s to finish their round before they start their 2nd piece.
