"HARD DAYS ARE THE BEST BECAUSE THAT'S WHEN CHAMPIONS ARE MADE" - GABBY DOUGLAS

Competition Description

Gymnastics is a very complex sport involving the performance of exercises requiring physical strength, flexibility, power, agility, coordination, grace, balance and control. Internationally, all of the competitive gymnastic events are governed by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). Each country has its own national governing body (BIW) affiliated to FIG. Competitive artistic gymnastics is the best known of the gymnastic events. It typically involves the women's events of uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise, and vault. Men's events are floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars, and the high bar. Gymnastics evolved from exercises used by the ancient Greeks that included skills for mounting and dismounting a horse, and from circus performance skills.

Other gymnastic disciplines include rhythmic gymnastics, trampolining, Team Gym, tumbling, aerobic gymnastics and acrobatic gymnastics. Participants can include children as young as 20 months old doing kindergym and children's gymnastics, recreational gymnasts of ages 5 and up, competitive gymnasts at varying levels of skill, and world-class athletes.

Neon Gymnastics Summer Competition 2017

What an amazing day!!! The Neon Gymnastics summer competition 2017 had a great atmosphere. We are always happy to participate. Our gymnasts competed from levels AP, which included Beam, Floor on a strip, and vault. All the way to level 4. Ages started as young as 6 years old, with the older competitors at 13 years old. We entered both boys and girls, with having each level successfully placing in the top 6. The day concluded with us finishing at round four, after having a very early morning start. With competition running smoothly, each round finished earlier than excepted. Much to the joy of both parent and coaches. With the first round setting the tone for the rest of the day, with two of

Mens Artistic Pegasus Open 2017

The Mens Artistic Pegasus Open 2017 was a great day. Our boys competed in Under 8's, Under 10's and Under 12's development categories. The boys did so well. We came back with a silver medal on bars from Amari Ford. For Mikoji, and Sam it was their first introduction into a six apparatus competition that wasn't home territory. But for Jack, Amari, Che, and Oliver they are beginning to become used to the bigger competitions. The first round had the Under 8's really supporting one another. The three boys really banded together, while trying to keep their concentration. Che didn't have a companion with him on his round, but he was able to hold his nerve all the way through his competition. Amari
